Q: I got a read error message, what can I do?

Secondly, please check if the surface of the DVD is clean and scratch-less. If the DVD has been scratched slightly, please click "yes" when our program prompt you to ignore read errors. And if possible, you can try to copy it from another DVD drive or computer.
If the DVD is a new released movie and you are sure it hasn't been scratched, it may have a new copy protection. Please click the button on the top and right of the main window, then click "Export ifo files" to export the IFO files of the DVD. Then send the exported file to support@magicdvdripper.com. We'll attempt to fix it as soon as possible.

Q: I got "Error occurs when recording" message. What can I do?
A: It means there was a burning error. Usually the problems can be solved by following these guidelines.
(1) Use a slower burning speed. The slower the burning speed, the better the burning quality. So using a lower burning speed may solve this problem. Please check "Set write speed before burning" option in the config window. And then before the recording process, a window will pop up for you to choose the burning speed.
(2) Try a different media. Your DVD burner may not be compatible with your media. To check if the media you are using is highly compatible with your burner, please visit http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdwriters to see what users think about the burner and media you are using.
(3) Make sure the firmware of your DVD burner is up to date. Most burning errors can be solved by updating firmware. You can download the latest firmware from the website of your DVD burner's producer or http://www.cdrinfo.com/Sections/Firmware/Home.aspx. But please note: flashing your burner with incorrect firmware will also cause your burner doesn't work normally. So please be careful and make sure you have downloaded the correct firmware.

If the above ways still can't solve your problem, please click the button on the top and right of the main window, then click "Export log file" to export the log file of our program. Then send the exported file to support@magicdvdripper.com. We'll give you more help.

Q: There was not any error, but the copied DVD can't be played well on my DVD player. What can I do?
A: Please try to play the burned disc on your computer and other DVD players. If it can be played well on your computer while not on your DVD player, it seems that the media is poorly supported by the burner and/or the DVD burner has some hardware/firmware issues. The following guidelines may solve your problem.
